From November to March we are covered in a blanket of snow and you can enjoy world class x-country skiing on 200k of groomed trails. The trail head is just across the street from us along with the new ice skate complex & state of the art Gym.

The Hotel Rio Vista is a place with two faces. The front parking and entrance is steps from the town of Winthrop, while the back is river-front, at the confluence of the Methow and Chewuch rivers. Tubing and fishing in the summer; viewing, skiing, and skating in the winter. The hotel is situated at the edge of our two-block town of Winthrop on one side, and the pedestrian bridge that crosses the Methow River on the other.
Across the river is the town ice skating rink and the beginning of the MVSTA ski trail, with it's 120 miles of groomed cross country trails.

Each of the seven guest accommodations is individually appointed, with handmade iron beds piled deep with European style comforters to snuggle under, hand-crafted quilts, and down pillows. and wood antiques. Four rooms have private tiled bathrooms/showers, and three share a tiled full bathroom. In addition, the rooms all have pedestal sinks.
