Sleeps 2-6, Max Occupancy: 6
Sometimes the kids want to come along. This 2-bedroom house may suit them just fine. The main floor has a queen bedroom with bath across the hall. Upstairs is a 'family' room with a queen, and two twin beds. And there is an upstairs bath as well. This is the largest of 5 other cabins that skirt the banks of the Methow River, so it can also accommodate those pesky relatives of yours. Just next door.
The main floor is one, larger space, with a nice kitchen, and bar-counter for visiting. There is also enough seating for 6 at the dining table, a living room, and river-facing covered deck. Internet and Dish TV are provided, but there is also bird watching and wildlife viewing. The deer come down most days for water and rest, and it is a nice place to see them as well as flickers, swallows, and eagles. The local wild turkeys recently found better accommodations, however they sometimes come around as well.
This house is a 10-minute walk from Winthrop via a pedestrian suspension bridge that crosses the Methow River. It is also a 100-yard walk to the town's outdoor ice rink and town trailhead for winter skiing and summer biking. All in all, totally worth the effort.
